The chance to sample many handcrafted and premium beers, and see brew masters compete for the best homemade brew will take place Saturday at the Chillin ‘N’ Swillin Beer Festival at Rotary Park.

“We are expecting 20 craft brewers this year from three states,” said Nancy Darrow, with Chillin ‘N’ Swillin Inc. “There is live entertainment and an opportunity to cast your vote for the People’s Choice award.”

The festival is in its 11th year and its goal is to raise funds for local charities. Chillin ‘N’ Swillin Inc., is a nonprofit organization which works with only volunteers, unlike many other beer festivals that make a profit from ticket sales, the Chillin ‘N’ Swillin Beer festival donates all of its proceeds to charity and back to the community.

The festival will take place from 2-6 p.m. at Rotary Community Park Ball Fields located at 1400 S. Smoketree Ave.

Tickets may be purchased in advance for $25 at Mudshark Brewing Company, Barley Bros, College Street Brewhouse and Pub and The Office Cocktail Lounge.

Admission price the day of the event will be $30. You may also purchase a ticket for $10 for a designated driver. Shuttle service will also be available.
