In preparation for the 2015 Lake Havasu City Balloon Festival volunteers from the community learn the ropes of “crewing”. They also were on-site at the London Bridge Resort Convention Center to pick up their volunteer credentials and learn their positions on the balloon field. Even though the weather was inclement a strong volunteer group was present.

During one such training event, they met at Rotary Park on the ball fields to unload the basket and balloon envelope with pilot instruction by Jim Dolan and Gary Moore. Both are current LHC residents and have many years in ballooning and flying commercially around the country.
