Boat Parade Of Lights Sets The Tone For Holiday Season

When this year’s 36^th edition of the Boat Parade of Lights in Lake Havasu City was in jeopardy of not happening because of the COVID-19 virus, Havasu citizen JJ Gibbs took on overseeing the long-standing holiday tradition.

The Boat Parade of Lights went off without a hitch Saturday night with 60 entries.

Event organizer Gibbs said that 40 of the entries this year were first-time participants. With special thanks to participants and sponsors, the winners of this year’s event were announced Sunday.

Best of Show – #29 “Kicker Boat” with Copper Still Distillery $1,000

Judge’s Choice – #23 “Hot Legs” $500

Wildcard Pick – #22 “Neverland” by Lake Havasu Yacht Club (not to be confused with the London Bridge Yacht Club) $250 donated back for 2021 parade

Best First Time Entry – #32 “Like It Wet” $250 donated back for 2021 parade

Best Family/Individual – #24 “HavaGrinch” $250

Best Business Entry – #27 A&B Propane $250
