This Thursday presents the opportunity to view Volkswagen (VW) Buses of all colors and styles at the annual Buses By The Bridge event happening Jan. 11 through 14, at Havasu State Park, Windsor 4.
Event spectators can expect to see vintage VW buses from around the country and around the world. Come and chat with collectors and VW bus enthusiasts and volunteers like Jean Claude who also has his own 1982 VW bus on display.
“A lot of us really enjoy this, it is almost like a world-wide event. We have a lot of people from Brazil, South America and a lot of Canadians come down here too,” Claude said. “I raised my kids and grand kids in this VW Bus. We had a lot of camping adventures and seeing what mother nature has to offer on our trips. It is always amazing. I have been volunteering for over 20 years now.”
To see Claude’s bus and many others, come to the Buses By The Bridge Event Thursday at 9 a.m., through the weekend. Admission price is $5 per person. The event includes music, vendors and several raffles.
Proceeds from the Buses by the Bridge benefit several charities and schools around Lake Havasu City. These charities include Hospice of Havasu, Teen Break, and Lake Havasu High School Booster Club.
