Saturday morning, 40 walkers participated in the 4th Annual Denise’s Day Strides for Hope on McCulloch Boulevard. The walkers raised money for families battling Cancer.

The Young Marines presented the Colors at the event and vendors were also on hand. A few days before Strides of Hope, the Red Iron MC donated $200 to Heather Courneya of Denise’s Day. The event raised more than $5,000.

Denise’s Day was begun in memory of Denise Madrid, a Lake Havasu City woman who lost a brave battle with cancer.

The aim of the fund is to help cancer patients and their families when the insurance companies cannot.
