On Friday, Lake Havasu City’s JCPenney store presented a $10,000  donation to Noma Byerley, of the  Arizona’s Children Association.

The funds are raised through the JCPenney Round-Up program to help with after-school programs. JCPenney customers are asked at the end of every transaction if they would like to round up the total of their purchase to the next dollar for the JCP Cares foundation. This foundation gives these proceeds back to the local city in any way possible.

This year, the Lake Havasu City store was one of six in the nation to give back and Nautilus Elementary School is the recipient through the Round-Up program. The funds will be distributed through the Arizona’s Children Association.
