K-12 Foundation Honors The Brightest Knights at Annual Recognition Banquet

Some of the brightest stars of Lake Havasu High School were celebrated for their accomplishments at the K-12 Foundation annual recognition banquet at Shugrue’s Bridgeview Room Friday night.

“This is the only recognition from the community for top students who are all Summa cum laude, and have a 3.9 GPA or higher,” explained K-12 Board Member and former chair Monica Hall.

Not only were students recognized, but teachers were also honored after being nominated by their students for their impact and hard work in each of their lives.

Gold stars and cut out of the schools Knight mascot adorned the whole room to create a sense of school spirit and sense of community in partnership with several sponsors who donated toward the annual recognition ceremony.

The K-12 Foundation ensures the event is a fun and positive experience unlike other recognition or award ceremonies and make sure it is tailored to the students.

“They get to sit with their teachers, invite their friends to sit with them and enjoy a fun night with their favorite music. “it’s not a very rigid ceremony but a fun experience for all,” explains Hall.

“The foundation has two goals, education and recognition,” she added.

The K-12 Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports faculty, staff, students and enrich programs that will benefit the community.
