Lake Havasu City observed a Memorial Day ceremony today at Wheeler Park on McCulloch Boulevard.
A wreath was laid at the bottom of an inverted rifle with an empty military helmet resting on the butt, commemorating those who have fallen in military duty in service of the United States.

Memorial Day is observed on the last Monday in May and has been since it began as “Decoration Day” following the Civil War.
