Lake Havasu City celebrated the Queen of Country Dolly Parton, with a lively tribute beneath the London Bridge, Saturday afternoon.
The community came out dressed in pink, to remember Dolly, not only for her music but what she stood for.
“Dolly for me was a great person, she always brought joy to everything she did especially with her children’s library. She dedicated her whole life to making people smile.” I love who she was and what she did,” said Lake Havasu City resident, Nicole Shull.

The evening was sponsored by Burgers by the Bridge, and brought together music lovers for a night filled with pink lights, live music, food, cold drinks and plenty of Dolly-inspired sparkle.
“I liked all of her style, and all of her music,” said Stephanie Bogert.
A live DJ, and line dancers entertained the crowd under the bridge, creating a fun atmosphere as the the bridge was later lit up in pink.
“I heard about this event and also that the bridge was going to be lit up pink, so I came down here, and it’s just very nice that it’s here and local in our city, I love that so many people came down,” said local Stephanie Lane.
Guests embraced the theme by showing up in their best Dolly bling, adding plenty of rhinestones, pink and country flair to the celebration.

I think it’s wonderful I think it’s a beautiful tribute said local resident, Jessica Hoglund. “I just loved Dolly’s kindness. She was very giving.”
The event offered the community an opportunity to enjoy a fun night out while honoring Dolly Parton’s unmistakable style, music and lasting influence on country music.
“What’s not to like about Dolly? She was the most precious human on this planet. She was very loving and giving,” said event attendee, Jeanne Godwin.
