Party hats and noisemakers will be the order of the evening Friday when Lake Havasu City rings in the New Year.
Most local watering holes have planned live entertainment and there are some more formal events taking place around town.
Although there isn’t a city fireworks display planned, private parties will be hosting some and according to Round Eyes Pyrotechnics, fireworks are allowed in the city until Jan. 3. No aerials, mortars. bottle rockets or Roman candles are allowed. All others are allowed and there are no time restrictions.

Remember to ring in the New Year safely and responsibly.
