Lake Havasu City photographer Susan Stocker said she first fell in love with photography in high school, but it became her passion as digital photography became prevalent.

“Shooting reflections in nature speaks to my soul, but capturing an angelic baby and doing a digital composition is the most fun for me,” Stocker said. “I would tell everyone wanting to try photography to carry a camera with them everywhere for a month. Shoot everything you like – serious things, silly things, people, buildings, landscapes, animals, everything! At the end of the month if you don’t have a couple of thousand photographs, photography is not your passion. If you do look for a common theme in the photos you love and follow your heart!”

Stocker, along with her husband Jeff and dog Bater moved to Lake Havasu City in 2015 to be with their oldest two daughters and their families.

“The thing I love most about Lake Havasu is the wonderful people that have welcomed me into their community and their hearts,” she said.
