Preschool Fitness Day Brings Bigs And Littles Together

Little Knights preschool children participated in National Preschool Health and Fitness Day at Lake Havasu High School Friday morning.

The children learned about health and fitness by visiting stations that encouraged fun and play.

Mayor Cal Sheehy began the day with a proclaimation from the  city and LHHS students played with the preschoolers at each station.

“We’re bringing back National Preschool Health and Fitness Day. We did it 12 years ago and then students wanted to bring back the event and bring some awareness to our community,” said teacher Marie Hendry.

Stations included excersize with Fit Lab 928, Milemarkers, kid yoga with Ginny Sautner , parachute and music with Skills USA , fun course with Parks and Recreation, a bounce house, and  bike safety with LHCPD.

Student volunteers included FBLA, and the yearbook/journalism class took photos. Parents were also invited to come and participate with their children.

Little Knights Preschool is a preschool on the Lake Havasu High School Campus. LHHS students learn how to become preschool teachers with hands-on experience playing and educating the future students.
