Abundant Grace Church hosted its Kids Camp with the theme of “Rainforest Rush,” giving kids an opportunity to explore their faith, meet new friends and build life skills.

The children were split into different color “teams,” competing by being on their best behavior each day.

Their time was spent rotating between worship, games, crafts and a snack break, with their team leads taking them to each rotation.

Camp lead, Marcus Doolittle, said, “This camp is basically what Vacation Bible School used to be. At the end they’ll hear a message about Jesus and then they close it.”

Doolittle and his wife are in charge of this camp, ensuring the children have a good time while learning.

Abundant Grace Church has hosted a Kids Camp every summer for years, showing their commitment to the children of Lake Havasu City.

“The purpose of this is just to teach them about God and Jesus and let them know that they can rely on God,” Doolittle said.

The Kids Camp is hosted from July 6 to 10, in the evenings at the church building.
