Rainy Evening In Store For Lake Havasu Area

Lake Havas City and the surrounding area will likely experience rain this evening and into Friday morning.

Meteorologist July Phillipson of the National Weather Service in Las Vegas said the greatest chance for rain would be from 3 to 4 a.m., Friday, with a possible accumulation of about ½ inch of rain.

“There could be more than that if thunderstorms accompany the weather front that’s moving in,” she said.

The rain will taper off Friday morning and make way for a dryer week.

“There is a drying outlook for the coming week and there should be a dry Thanksgiving.”

Phillipson said there appears to be another system moving in early in the week after Thanksgiving but indicated it was too early to predict at this time.

“We haven’t received any information about rainfall in the Lake Havasu area for three days, so I can’t tell you how much rain fell on Wednesday,” she said.
