It’s that time of year again when tax season starts creeping into the picture.

It’s also a good time to start thinking about ways to ease the burden of some of those taxes by helping the community.

Soroptimist International of Lake Havasu City has been awarded the designation of a qualified charitable organization to accept Arizona Tax Credits by the Arizona Department of Revenue.

Taxpayers are allowed to donate up to $841 for those filing married filing joint or $421 for single or widowed. The Arizona Tax Credit reduces state income tax liability dollar for dollar.

Soroptimist International of Lake Havasu City is a nonprofit dedicated to help women and girls in the community have access to education to improve their lives and the lives of their children.
