There’s something special on exhibit at the Lake Havasu City Hall for the month of October.

In conjunction with the 50th anniversary celebration of the dedication of the London Bridge, Havasu Stitchers Quilt Guild created the exhibit from a quilter’s challenge titled “A River Runs Through It.”

The quilters were given the fabric for the river and the only requirement was for the fabric to come in at three inches on the left and go out three inches on the right. The quilters had to design an 18 x 36 panel depicting activities around the desert and river. The fabric for the river runs from one panel to the next.

Havasu Stitchers Quilt Guild was formed in 1992 by 12 Lake Havasu City women. There are now 160-plus creative quilters who meet regularly to share tips, plan social events and retreats and more.
