Students Turn Serious Business Into Fun 100th Day Of School

The 100th day of school is a big deal in Lake Havasu Unified School District. A really big deal.

The 100th day of school is the day that determines how many students are attending each sschool, which in turn determines how much funding each school will receive per pupil from the Arizona Department of Education.

The school’s staff and administration, of course, want to make the 100th day a special ocasion and ensure they receive appropriate funding, so they turned it into everything 100.

Students came to class in any way that said 100 to them. They came as they thought they would look like as 100-year-olds. They came with 100 items on shirts. The creativity to say 100 was boundless.

RiverScene Magazine asked parents on social media to post photos of their kids dressed up either as if they were 100 years old or something that represents the number 100. Here are some to enjoy.
