With a water temperature of 63 degrees, 77 swimmers took to Bridgewater Channel Friday for the annual lighting of the 23rd Annual London Bridge Resort Festival of Lights.

Bryce Dickerson won the chilly swim across the Channel to flip the switch and bring the Christmas magic to Lake Havasu City. Chase Campbell and Cody Moffit finished the swim second and third.

With more than 500,000 lights, the Channel glows throughout the holiday season. Santa visits on Fridays and Saturdays until Christmas so in addition to enjoying the light display, youngsters can reveal their Christmas wishes.

The display remains lighted through Jan. 5, 2019.
