A crowd gathered at Havasu Memorial Gardens Monday morning to honor men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. The colors were posted by the Amerian Legion, the Marine Corps League and VFW combined Color Guard and guest speakers included Mayor Mark Nexsen and VFW Commander Post 9401 Frank Emery. Following the ceremony, a wreath was laid by the Military Moms of Lake Havasu on the gravesite of Patrick Tinnell.

At the end of the ceremony, Kristen Lietz-Woodward of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home led the release of hundreds of red, white, and blue balloons.
