5th Graders Graduate From N.O.V.A.

More than 300 fifth-grade students graduated from the N.O.V.A. program Friday afternoon at the Aquatic Center. After the graduation, the kids were treated to swimming and a lunch of 120 pizzas provided to the program by Little Ceasers.

The N.O.V.A. Constitution winner was Hailey MacLaurin from Nautilus Elementary and the two rocket building winners were Lauren Castle and Lily Aten.

The N.O.V.A. Principles Program was created by Police Sgt. Charlie Wakamatsu, Dr. Paul Jenkins – a child and family psychologist – and officers from the Orem Police Department in Utah.
