Joe Torrillo is a retired NYFD Lieutenant and survivor of the World Trade Center collapse following the attack on the Twin Towers on Sept. 11, 2011.

Torrillo will be hosted by the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 4299 – Eagle Riders Motorcycle Club Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the London Bridge Resort Convention Center.

The Eagle Riders are an internal organization within the Fraternal Order of Eagles. A motto of the FOE “People Helping People” is taken very seriously and the Eagle Riders host a fundraiser every month for charities. It has raised more than $100,000 this past year and they will be donating an electric wheelchair to a 30-year Navy veteran at the event.

The event is free and open to the public, and the club will be accepting donations for the local 9/11 committee.

Torrillo will be sharing his inspirational story as the guest speaker.
