MCC PRESS RELEASE:

The Mohave Community College Information Technology Department recently received a 2019 Campus Technology Impact Award. Submissions for the five categories and 12 awards came in from colleges and universities around the world, according to the higher education online magazine Campus Technology.
Mohave Community College and Indiana University were selected winners in the category IT Infrastructure and Systems.

MCC was honored for its online disaster recovery systems upgrades last year, when the college had the honor of holding a breakout session at the VMWorld 2018 Convention in Las Vegas.

The college has been able cut down online disaster recovery times from a few hours to just a few minutes, with zero data loss.

“This is a great honor for the employees here at the college who work hard every day to provide and maintain the best possible online systems for our students, faculty and staff,” said Chief Information Technology Officer Mark Van Pelt.
