This weekend and next the youth production of All Shook Up plays at Grace Arts Live. The musical is set to popular Elvis Presley inspired tunes and with a high energy cast of eighteen students it is ready to entertain and delight audiences.
The show takes place in 1955, when a charismatic rebel musician named Chad comes to a small, conservative town and turns things upside down with his rock and roll music. Featuring the energy of beloved songs like Heartbreak Hotel, Jailhouse Rock, Don’t be Cruel and Hound Dog, All Shook Up tells the story of how music can heal and unite people.
Playing January 16-18 and 23-25 on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Adults: $17+fee & Children 17 & younger: $12+fee. For your reserved seat, visit the Box Office at 2146 McCulloch, Monday thru Friday at 3-6 p.m. and up to an hour before showtimes. Or call (928) 505-2787 (ARTS) or go online at www.graceartslive.com.

In the song, Can’t Help Falling in Love, through Chad’s (Nathanael Gomez) music and lyrics, the town’s citizens realize the emotionality of caring for their special someone. Shakespeare said it best: “If music be the food of love, play on.” Photo courtesy of Jenna Ebert

Thinking Sandra (Bridget McCabe) is breathtakingly beautiful, new-to-town, Chad (Nathanael Gomez) is overcome with emotion. Photo courtesy of Jenna Ebert

On the motorcycle, Chad played by Nathanael Gomez with Natalie portrayed by Caylin Kendrick as he sings Follow Your Dream encouraging her to pursue her hearts desire, whatever that may be and wherever that may lead. Photo courtesy of Jenna Ebert

In a town, where dancing and singing is not allowed, newcomer, Chad (Nathanael Gomez) gets everyone including Natalie Haller (Caylin Kendrick) and best friend, Dennis (Ian Riedel) along with some townsfolk, to loosen up and feel the beat in the spirited, C’mon Everybody.
