Teacher Spotlight: Nautilus Teachers Passionately Expand Student Knowledge

Nautilus Elementary’s staff includes many teachers who help students achieve their full potential, with four teachers going above and beyond to expand their students’ knowledge.

Bethany Musgrove, Amy Depuydt, Ashley Miller and Megan Weidman are Nautilus Elementary teachers that use their respective skills to manage classrooms and prioritize student success.

Musgrove teaches in Nautilus Preschool, and brings more than 30 years of experience in early childhood education.

While commenting on Musgrove’s teaching, Shannon Williams — Principal of Nautilus Elementary and Preschool—said, “Her deep knowledge and gentle guidance help build strong foundations for lifelong learning.”

Depuydt, fifth-grade teacher, has taught math and science for 20 years, showing her passion by aiding students to build problem-solving skills.

Depuydt has a deep understanding of concepts, which is shown in her teaching and student retention.

The skills she teaches her students can be taken further than the classroom, helping them to grow into functional young adults.

Miller brings more than 20 years of experience teaching Kindergarten and loves working with the youngest learners at Nautilus Elementary.

Williams said, “She creates a nurturing, structured environment where students build strong foundations in reading, math, and social skills,” when asked about Miller.

Miller’s interactions with her students allows them to gain knowledge that will be foundational for their future education.

Weidman is a special education teacher who advocates for the special needs students at Nautilus, expanding their knowledge and supporting their growth.

Weidman’s work at Nautilus creates a welcoming environment in which students can grow their skills and succeed.

Weidman encourages her students to gain academic achievement, which can be gained with her emphasis on growth.

All four of these educators actively teach according to Nautilus Elementary’s standards, making Williams regard them as her “amazing staff.”
