Remnants of Tropical Storm Rachel moved into Lake Havasu City late Saturday afternoon with a few small showers.

Then early Sunday morning, Rachel hit Lake Havasu with strong wind gusts of 63 mph measured at the airport and 1.49 inches of rain. Residents woke up to a few rounds of thunderstorms throughout the night which included thunder and lightning.

According to the Las Vegas National Weather Service, heaviest rainfall Sunday morning occurred across portions of the southern Great Basin and Mohave County, with continuing showers across the remainder of the region as remnants of Rachel move northeastward.

Large limbs were down at Rotary Park, washes ran with water, and palm fronds were scattered on various streets around Lake Havasu.

Here are photos of the results of Rachel’s visit to Lake Havasu City. More videos can be found on RiverScene Magazine social media and YouTube Channel.
