Lake Havasu Girl Scouts recognized the 2015-2016 Bronze, Silver and Gold Award recipients Friday. The award ceremony was at St. Michaels United Methodist Church and Scouts were honored for service projects in the community.
The Bronze Award can be earned by Junior Girl Scouts and require a minimum of 20 hours. Those honored were: Cheyenne Geary, Troop 147; Alison Grogan, Troop 147; Tatum Wilcox, Troop 1892; Ruby Lira Troop 1892; Savanna Nordgren, Troop 1892; Rylee Kieckbusch, Troop 1892; Kadence Pitts, Troop 1892; and Madison Snethen, Troop 1892.
The Silver Award can be earned by Cadette Girl Scouts and require a minimum of 60 hours. Honored were: Aliya Miller, Troop 1585; Emma Miller, Troop 1585; Bobbi Jo Bohnker, Troop 1585; Cayla Mann, Troop 1585; Madison Starkey, Troop 1585; Paige Beaty, Troop 1585; Shaylin Chinn, Troop 1585; Eliana Lira, Troop 1892; Alexus Nordgren, Troop 1892; Erin Wilcox, Troop 1892; and Kenna Kieckbusch, Troop 1892.
The Gold Award is the highest achievement within the Girl Scouts, earned by Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts. The Gold project requires a minimum of 80 hours. Only 5.4 percent of eligible Girl Scouts successfully earn the Gold Award. Kaylee Baker, an Independent Girl Member, received the Gold Award.
