A little drizzle didn’t dampen spirits and competition at the London Bridge Rotary Club’s 45th Annual Jim Sterling Invitational track meet Saturday morning.
Thirteen schools competed at Lake Havasu High School during the Invitational in events that included shot put, long jump, pole vault, hurdles, long distance running and discus throw. Lake Havasu boys and girls both won first and Lee Williams High School took second.
London Bridge Rotary Club members were there to assist with timing as well as measuring distance and the Lake Havasu High School Booster Club operated the snack bar.
London Bridge Rotary president Valerie Carey said, “It was great despite the weather. Everyone had smiling faces and enjoyed themselves.”
