River Riders MC Toy Run Helps Make Christmas Bright

The River Riders MC Club hosted its 41st annual Toy Run Sunday afternoon.

The riders started at Pirate’s Den in Parker at noon, and made the ride to Lake Havasu City with various toys on their bikes.

Roughly 2,000 bikes were ridden in the event and attendants lined the side of the road and McCulloch Boulevard to welcome them. Approximately 3,000 people were on Main Street.

“From the first Toy Run of about 12 bikes 41 years ago to now, this is so awesome,” said River Riders past president Paul Blazer. “Such a wonderful feeling to be part of bringing Christmas joy to those that truly need it. Thank you to all of our fantastic sponsors.”

“We are here collecting toys for the Toy Run. They have this fabulous event and all the toys go to us at the food bank and we get them out to the community. We’ve been doing this 12 years now,” Lake Havasu Community Food Bank Manager Colleen Mattinson said.
