The Military Moms recently expanded their “Gowns for Military Brides” program, which originally provided wedding gowns at no cost to military women on active duty or women who were planning to wed an active duty military person.

“In the past few years we’ve had a lot of wedding gowns donated by the community, many brand new,” explained Military Moms President Cindy Ritter. “So now we’re able to offer wedding gowns, for a very minimal donation, to any brides-to-be living in Mohave and La Paz counties. The program is not restricted to military brides at this time.”

“We raise funds to send out care packages to deployed Lake Havasu active duty military, in partnership with the American Legion Post 81 Auxiliary,” Ritter continued. “And we also provide emergency assistance to Lake Havasu veterans who are in need. In order to be able to continue to provide that assistance, we would appreciate donations of any amount for wedding gowns.”

Corbi Wright is the coordinator of the wedding gown program, and she can be reached at 928-855-5525 to make an appointment to choose a gown.

Lake Havasu City Military Moms is a 501(c)3 charitable organization, incorporated in the state of Arizona. Anyone who has a family member serving, or who has previously served, in the Armed Forces is invited to join, as well as any members of the community who do not have a family member serving, but who wish to support our local military and veterans For more information on Military Moms, visit http://www.lhcmilitarymoms.org/ or call 928-715-2761.
