Catching Up With The Masche Sextuplets

Those who were in Lake Havasu City in 2007 might remember that it was quite the year for multiple births.

There were the Stocking twins and Santana triplets and of course, the Masche sextuplets.

Their births were a big deal.

The six bouncing babies arrived June 11, 2007, at Banner  Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. All but one weighed less than three pounds.

One by one, Jenny and Bryan Masche brought their new family home to Havasu. 

The birth of the sextuplets prompted a one-hour special on WE tv, “OMG! Sextuplets,” in 2008. Following that came two seasons on WE tv of “Raising Sextuplets,” in 2009 and 2010.

Those bouncing babies are now 19-year-old adults preparing for their future.

Family dynamics changed over the years. They moved to Florida during their teen years. 

RiverScene Magazine reached out to catch up with the former Lake Havasu City kiddos to bring their current stories to the community.

Savannah was the first of the six to be born. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from high school and she is studying at a private American college in Rome, Italy.

Here she is in her own words.

“I’m 19, and I’m originally from Lake Havasu City, Ariz., then Chandler AZ.

My family moved to Florida during COVID, and now I live in Rome, Italy, where I’m attending college. It’s my first time living on my own, and definitely crazy moving to a different country alone for the first time!

I’m loving the independence, and getting to experience a new culture. I love learning Italian, trying new foods, traveling, meeting new friends and exploring different places and their history.”

Bailey was next. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from high school. She is attending College in Arkansas on a soccer scholarship. She played varsity soccer and league soccer in high school.

Here she is in her own words.

“College is mainly just really fun being around a lot of different new people as well, especially if you’re an extrovert it can be really fun.  

College is learning that you have to rely on God and your instincts kind of like yourself a little bit with making decisions and what you want to do because you don’t have, like, the close security of your parents being right there or your siblings. 

You no longer have a clear example right in front of you to follow so you kind of just have to figure it out sometimes which I think builds independence and confidence and empowerment. I think you realize your own agency a little more.”

Next came Grant. He is in college three hours from home studying business.

In his own words.

“I’m getting a business degree. My main goals right now are to learn more about Jesus, build more muscle. One of my favorite things is to travel as much as possible to meet new people. 

I work in advertising for my stepdad’s business. 

For fun in my free time I work out at the gym.”

Molli arrived next. She moved to California after graduating in May to work in the TV/ Movie Industry.

“I graduated high school in May 2026, with plans to move across the country to Orange County, Calif.! It took me a few weeks to get over the homesickness but, slowly, California is becoming more of my home than Florida! 

When I got back to work, aka set, everyone was shocked to find I had moved! They did not think I was capable … little did they know I had been planning the move for a long time and had my mind, and heart set on it – because I love my production assistant job. 

Two months in, the assistant director I work with, pulled me aside and promoted me to work with her department. Now, I get to work more directly with talent and the assistant director which I enjoy thoroughly! 

It has even got me thinking about talent relations, even though my ultimate goal is to direct across multiple mediums! 

Moving to California has only solidified my story-telling dreams, and has made me excited to build a community of my own in the sunny state! I am also pursuing screenwriting for my own personal enjoyment and hope to make it a professional pursuit sometime soon.”

Next to arrive was Cole. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from high school in May, and left for the Marine Corps on June 2. He graduated from Parris Island, SC, Boot Camp August 28.

Cole said, “It feels good to be an adult on my own now. Of course, I miss my family and how easy it was. But I love the independence of being an adult.

Currently my plans are to finish my training in the Marine Corps and deploy. Then hopefully become a full time reservist and finish college then commission in the Marine Corps.

I’d like to go into politics one day, so I would love to go to law school and practice law one day. If I am blessed enough, to hold some political form of office, no matter how small or large.

For fun I go to the beach, hangout with friends, I love the outdoors. I do play some video games. And I love keeping up with geo-politics.”

Blake rounded out the gang. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from high school. He is attending Grand Canyon University online, working toward a business degree, while doing house repairs/ renovations. He has currently earned his solo flying  endorsement and is continuing towards his private pilots license.

He said, “I’m doing Grand Canyon online and studying for my pilot license.

I occasionally work doing handyman jobs. if I’m not doing my college work or doing school, I can fly more. I spend my free time with my girlfriend.

I was racing competition Karts at different tracks around Florida. It was fun but I am focusing more on flying. I have my solo endorsement. It means I can fly the plane without my instructor. Then, it takes 10 solo flight hours and a check ride with your instructor before you get your actual pilot’s license. 

My goal is to be a “private pilot.”

Laura Masche, grandmother of the six, said each of them have the personalities they had as babies.

“Savannah was the first born. She is independent and confident and adventurous and fun.

Bailey is sweet, love Jesus, a people pleaser, always makes sure everyone else is good and loves playing soccer

Grant is a gentle giant. He can be reserved, quiet or a jokester depending on his audience. He also has deep faith.

Molli is gentle, artistic, loves writing poetry and stories. She is a budding free spirit and adores animals.

Cole has loved all things military since he was a toddler (like his dad). He has determination, direction and a strong vision.

Blake is strong, committed, mechanical and has a goal and a plan for his future.”

Laura Masche said that she and her husband, Bill, the sibling’s dad Bryan and his girlfriend Debbie, and an aunt and uncle traveled to Florida in May for the sibling’s graduation.

“We had a great time celebrating all of them,” she said.

She also said that even though they are all scattered about, they all came together to attend Cole’s graduation from MCRD Aug.28,  at Parris Island, SC. 

“It was great to see them together again,” said his Grandpa Bill.

As these six young adults embark on their lives, it looks like a bright future is ahead for them.
