Families and kids enjoyed many Easter egg hunts and activities hosted in the community by organizations, businesses and places of worship Saturday and Sunday in Lake Havasu City.
One of those events was courtesy of Star Cinemas in partnership with The Shops of Lake Havasu and Walmart. There was also an opportunity to have photos taken with the Easter Bunny.

“We donated the four premade baskets for those children who ended up finding a golden egg which earns them a free prefilled one during the egg hunt,” said Julianna Posso, Walmart Eye Center Manager and employee. “Also, we brought extra bags for kids who didn’t bring one, along with juice packs and waters.”
Children ages 2-5 lined up inside Star Cinemas to search for eggs while children ages 6-9 gathered at the center court outside the theatre to search for candy filled eggs and one of four golden eggs that were filled with a winning ticket to win a prefilled basket.
One of those winners included two year old Geeah Wright, who found the winning egg inside the theatre.

” This was her first time coming to an Easter event like this, last year she was too little to participate,” said Kaitlyn Ornelas, Geeah’s parent. ” I think she had a lot of fun actually.”

“This event was super helpful, we didn’t have to plan it ourselves, it makes it very convenient,” said Kenya Sotelo.
Another community egg hunt hosted by Burgers By The Bridge owner Harriet Mclearen was Saturday under the London Bridge.
The egg hunt couldn’t be complete without many community volunteers and organizations such as Hav-A-Sis, Vice Mayor David Lane and Stephanie Lane.
Lane, donated goodie bags for all families, and offered free donuts and refreshments for all who attended. There also was a special appearance from the Easter Bunny for those who wanted to take a picture.

Colorful eggs were scattered along the English Village and below the London Bridge.
Other egg hunts throughout Lake Havasu City were at Paradise Auto, Maurice’s clothing store, Lowe’s and many others.
