It’s that time of year for  decorated houses on the Lights of Havasu list. Submit decorated-house locations to the RiverScene map.

The Lights of Havasu map is sponsored by Human Bean. Human Bean will offer hot cocoa Friday and Saturday nights each weekend in December for $1 per person while you’re out looking at all the Christmas lights. 5-7 p.m. Must show the map on phone to the barista at window.

For the second year, RiverScene Magazine will also be hosting its house decorating contest.

The following categories are: 

Best theme: Themes can be funny, movies,  music, festive, military/veteran appreciation etc.. overall theme.

Most unique: Let your creative juices flow for your house decorating.

Most lit: How many lights can you cover your house AND your yard with?

Most Inflatables: How many holiday inflatables are displayed around your house?

**People’s choice; people can vote on our site for favorite house. Voting will end at midnight on December 20.  One vote per person per day. Voting link is on the Lights of Havasu map.

Lights of Havasu Contest RiverScene Magazine

2022 Most Inflatables winner The Duger Family. The Duger family had over 50 inflatables in the yard. Located at 2045 Palmer Dr.

All homes and businesses that are judged, have to be on the RiverScene Magazine map. There is no entry fee to be considered for judging. All houses on the map will be considered.

Judges will  check out the house on the RiverScene map on Dec. 18, starting at 5:30 p.m. All homes will be judged for this contest by the light crew at the London Bridge Resort.

Winners will be announced on the RiverScene website and social media page Dec. 22.

In order for a home or store front window to be considered  for the contest, it MUST be entered onto the map by noon on Dec 15.

Prizes are donated by the Dixie Belle, Lin’s Little China, and Gem’s Assisted Living.
