Living Word Family Church hosted a Veterans Appreciation Dinner Wednesday evening. More than 100 meals were served to the veterans and their guests.

The Young Marines Color Guard opened the dinner with The Pledge of Allegiance and the veterans were treated with patriotic songs and dancing in their honor. The Marine Corps League also performed a flag-folding ceremony on  stage.

Each branch of the United States military was honored at the dinner.

During the dinner, Living Word Family Church donated $3,000 to the Marine Corps League, which in turn will be used for the Ladies Auxiliary and Toys For Tots.

Living Word sponsors the dinner every year during Veterans Day week.

A Veterans Day parade will take place Saturday on McCulloch Boulevard stepping off at 10 a.m.
