“New York! New York!” was the theme at this year’s Cancer Association Annual Fashion Show at The London Bridge Resort Convention Center Wednesday night.

From hand bags, sharp outfits from local department stores along with plenty of struts and smiles shined across the catwalk as the fashionistas and models received cheers from the audience. Guests also enjoyed a light dinner and champagne to toast and celebrate cancer survivors and a silent auction and runway fashion show.

“Every year, our priority and goal has always been to aspire continued support for the community of cancer survivors in Lake Havasu City and to provide them with an elegant evening to celebrate their victory,” said Dr. Tania Sobchuk.

The Cancer Association of Havasu was established in 1999 by local volunteers. The goal is to raise funds in order to provide low-cost cancer screening, education and support for local cancer patients and families in Lake Havasu City.

Proceeds from ticket sales to the event benefit local families and individuals in need of help with cancer treatment expenses.
