Rotary Community Park was filled with fun last week when the Lake Havasu City Parks and Recreation Department hosted Teen Break 2022.

Havasu kids – 395 of them – sixth through 12th graders – participated in the event. The students got to try out an obstacle course sponsored by The U.S. Army, play basketball, win prizes, and ride bumper cars.

” I think everyone that volunteered and participated seemed to have fun. It was good to have it back,” said program coordinator Sara Ross.

“I’d like to thank all of the volunteers for their time. Without them, the event wouldn’t happen.” I would also like to thank the Parks and Recreation team for all they did throughout the week.”

Major sponsors of Teen Break included Khalil, Elks Lodge, London Bridge Bullies and local grocery stores.
