Lake Havasu City and the surrounding area could be in for some stormy weather throughout the coming weekend.

Morgan Stessman, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, Nev., said Wednesday that although it’s too early to make accurate forecasts, Tropical Storm Hillary could be a weather factor for the area.

“We’re looking at a moisture increase Saturday, along with possible precipitation,” Stessman said.

She said that although there is a lot of uncertainty, there could be spots of heavy rain and flash flooding in the area.

“Friday, we’ll have a better idea of what the weekend looks like for Saturday, Sunday and maybe into Monday,” she said.

Tropical Storm Hilary is off the shore of Acapulco, Mexico, and is expected to have an impact on the weather in Southern California, Arizona and Southern Nevada.
