There’s a new business that features a unique combination.

Bruce and Sherri Ashford are the owners of Copper Canyon Quilting and Edge to Edge Outriggers, located at 375 El Camino Way. It combines the sport of outrigger canoeing and quilting.

“This is the only full-service outrigger store in the tri-state area,” Bruce Ashford said. And on the other side is a full-service quilting store.

The quilting side carries kits, fabric, anything one might need for quilting,” Sherri Ashford said.

But Copper Canyon Quilt and Outriggers is more than just a store that appeals to paddlers and quilters. The owners believe in giving back to the community.

At the moment, the pair is supporting Secret Santa, Military Moms, Heart to Heart, Women With Willpower and the Western Arizona Humane Society, as well as the Lake Havasu Outriggers Club.

“This is a place to come and be inspired – to come and give back,” Sherri Ashford said.

    Hi Bruce;
    Regarding the upcoming Outrigger event on Oct. 3,
    I asked Jan Chisman if a surfski or Oc-1 could
    take a run thru the course….Jan directed me to you.
    I paddle a Huki surfski, do you allow surfski’s to run w/ your Oc-1’s ?
    Thanks Bruce,
    best regards,
