Western Arizona Senior Living will host the Lake Havasu City Community Health and Resource Expo at Lake Havasu City Aquatics Center, 100 Park Ave., Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.

The event will bring a variety of resources to Lake Havasu City residents with a focus on services and resources that serve senior citizens in the area. The event will host 40 local and regional healthcare services and plenty of resources, according to a recent press release.

The event will be hosted by a local DJ, with performances from Havasu Hula, and Silver Sneaker demonstrations from local fitness expert Stephanie Lueras.

“With 35 percent of residents being 65 and older, I felt it was important to bring as many resources as possible together to one large community event. It is my hope our seniors that attend will feel they know better what is out there to support them.

“Planning and educating ourselves as we age can give our seniors confidence that they understand their options before crisis hits. For those that can’t attend, I want them to know we are just a call away to help them connect with resources” said Angie Foltz, President and CEO at Western Arizona Senior Living.

Since its founding by local Havasuvian Angie Foltz, Western Arizona Senior Living, has developed the company into a central place of resources for seniors needing unbiased guidance with care options, as well as being a point of contact when seniors and their families don’t know where to start. To date, it has served more than 1,000 seniors, their families and friends by providing at no cost to them one-on-one personalized guidance when living at home is no longer the safest or best option. Every situation is unique and can be complex as well as time consuming without expert senior living advisors.

Western Arizona Senior Living works in partnership with hospitals throughout the Southwest, skilled nursing and rehabs, local physicians, health departments, and anyone in the medical, social services, or first responder community recognizing the need for a senior care assessment. They provide a continuum of care as long as the senior, their family or friends need guidance and assistance.

Coordinating and manpower volunteers from Key Clubs at Telesis Preparatory Academy and Lake Havasu High School are donating countless hours to assist with the event during their fall school break.
