“White Christmas” opens Friday at Grace Arts Live presenting the Irving Berlin classic that is sure to delight Lake Havasu City residents just in time for the holidays.
The nostalgic show features 17 of Berlin’s songs as the storyline propels World War II veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis through their success in show business. Davis’ hopeless romantic tendencies soon have the duo following a pair of singing sisters to a Vermont lodge.
The lodge, owned by Davis’ and Wallace’s former Army commander, has fallen on hard times. A song-and-dance event is planned to drum up some business for the old general. Songs such as “Blue Skies,” “I Love a Piano,” “How Deep Is the Ocean,” and, of course, “White Christmas” are featured.
The uplifting musical and its talented cast is a must-see during Havasu’s holiday season.
Tickets are $25 for adults, children 17 and younger $12. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; 2 p.m. Sundays on December 2-4, 9-11, and 16-18.
