Racers from around the world are set to travel to Lake Havasu City for the opportunity take home the world championship title at the 34th Annual International Jet Sports Boating Association (IJSBA) World Finals to take place Oct. 3-11.
The week-long event will not only feature watercraft, wake boarding competitions but also feature off-roading, and a new Video Game Championship competition. A Pro Freestyle Expo will take place on Oct. 10, as part of the ongoing competition in the freestyle and slalom classifications. Competitors will compete in this special event in the Bridgewater Channel and all are welcome to watch.
An opportunity to welcome racers from around the world will also be featured at the Annual Parade of Nations, where each participating country is announced and welcomed. This year it will be at the London Bridge Resort Convention Center.
“There is no other event that brings so many countries in the same area other than the Olympics,” said Kay Sykes, Coordinator of the parade. “It’s not like a typical parade that you expect to see on the street, it is more of a gathering where everyone can meet and greet and welcome all the countries and its racers that travel to compete here.”
Admission to the week long event is free and they take place at Crazy Horse Campgrounds located at 1534 Beachcomber Blvd. Vendors and beer stands will also be set up.
Admission into the 2015 quakysense World Finals is free to spectators. Parking for the World Finals on Monday and Tuesday is free. Wednesday-Friday is $15 per car per day, and Oct. 10 and 11 is $20 per car per day.
