Focus on Art at Mudshark (F.O.A.M) happened Saturday afternoon in Lake Havasu City at the newly established Mudshark Public House off Aviation Drive .
The event was organized by local artist Pam Reinke to raise funds for Havasu Area Public Art. The inaugural event had more than 100 patrons attend the event.
“The name FOAM is a play on beer as well. We came up with the idea to have kind of a community share your ideas, paint together and have a live auction later,” Reinke said.
Nearly 20 artists set up their homemade works. Artistic talents ranged from painting, ceramics, wood burning, jewelry making and less typical crafts including hand-spun threads and egg design.
“It is a way to get to know your artists and pull the community together artistically.”
At the four-hour event, live demonstrations were paired with each artist’s display. All works created during the demonstrations were later auctioned in fundraising efforts.
