The 35th annual Winterfest brings fun and friends together Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Since 1986, Winterfest has been an annual staple on McCulloch Boulevard. This year, the projected attendance is expected to hover around 30,000 people walking the busy boulevard on Main Street.
Filling the street will be more than 200 vendors that have traveled the country to be here in Lake Havasu this weekend. The sea of booths that will be lining the street bring a wide selection of arts and crafts ranging from clothing and jewelry to home décor.
No packed lunch is necessary with the wide selection of culinary delights that are usually reserved for large events and fairs. For thirsty adults, the beer garden will be open providing a refreshing respite to the adventure. Entertainment will be in full swing this year as two acts headline the event. Saturday highlights local favorites The Borrowers who will play at 1 p.m. and again at 3:40 p.m. On Sunday, the event welcomes The Riptides at 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Winterfest wouldn’t be possible without volunteers spearheaded by the Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce event manager Nikki Nickle who says, “The team at the Lake Havasu City Area Chamber of Commerce has been hard at work and looks forward to a fantastic 35th Annual Winterfest Street Festival. We thank all of our volunteers, sponsors, vendors and the community for your continued support of this event.”
There is no cost of admission to this two-day event and there are plenty of activities for all ages.
