Lake Havasu City Remembers 9/11

Lake Havasu City veterans, police officers, firefighters, schools and residents participated in a ceremony remembering 9/11 Monday. Early in the morning, Desert Hills Firefighter Chris Glomboski, Capt. Steve Reeder, and Lake Havasu Firefighter Mike Carlson climbed the London Bridge stairs 45 times to remember the first responders on 9/11.

During the ceremony at London Bridge Beach, the Marine Corps League Color Guard placed the colors and local veterans raised the flags. Lake Havasu Military Moms placed a wreath under the flags and Engineer Mark Martz rang the bell in honor of lives lost on 9/11.

Guest speakers included Mayor Cal Sheehy and Judge Mitch Kalauli.
