A very special event happened Friday at Crazy Horse Campground in Lake Havasu City.
Jo Crawford, director of Arizona Water Sports was on hand to kick off the Adaptive Watersports Program in the Western part of the state. She said the program includes water skiing, wakeboarding and kayaking.
“Anybody can do this. And your town is amazing,” Crawford said.
Crawford said the program, in its fourth year, would serve about 45 to 50 people Friday in the kickoff event sponsored by Anderson Toyota and Powersports.
She also outlined the Triple Crown Water Sports Program.

“If you make it to Lake Havasu, Bartlett Lake and Lake Powell, you are a Triple Crown water sports athlete,” she said.
Andrea Foote, marketing and promotions director from Anderson Toyota and Powersports said, “We love doing this every year and we hope to pull in more folks from Bullhead City and Kingman next year.”
“We’re hoping that people who have never traveled to places like Lake Havasu will come out and get on the water,” Crawford said.
