The service began around 9 a.m. Following the National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance, the Lake Havasu City Marine Corps League presented the colors.

The Lake Havasu Community Choir performed songs of patriotism and American pride before Pastor Chad Garrison took the stage.

“It’s about recognizing that God gave us this freedom, and we’re here to thank Him and to celebrate it,” Garrison said. The walls of Calvary Baptist Church were lined with portraits of Lake Havasu City veterans and those in active duty, as well as showcasing the local heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
