Cancer Care Resource hosted its annual Celebration of Life Cancer Survivor Brunch Saturday morning at Shugrue’s Bridgeview Room.
Cancer survivors in Lake Havasu City were invited by Cancer Care Resource to be treated to a brunch and to be celebrated.
Margie Snyder and Evie Cistaro opened the brunch with a toast to survivors, followed by Grace Arts and Arizona Coast Performing Arts Give Back Glee Club who performed songs for those in attendance.
During the brunch, Brigid Stevens presented a $2,500 check to Jeni Coke in memory of Corey Coke to kick off the new program “Spot it Early.” This new program will work to help those with skin cancer and to promote early detection and treatment.
Nancie Echeveria made a $10,000 donation to Cancer Care Resource in Evie Cistaro’s name.
Mayor Cal Sheehy presented a proclamation from the Mayor’s office via video and Dr. Michael Lyster was the guest speaker.
