Dwarf cars made their debut at Havasu 95 Speedway Saturday afternoon. The cars normally race on dirt so this was the first time they have raced on asphalt in Lake Havasu.

According to the Southern Nevada Dwarf Car Association website, Dwarf cars are replicas of 1928 to 1948 vintage coupes, sedans and trucks.

“They can do a 15 second lap which is the same as 80 mph average around a quarter mile oval. Drivers are here from all over, including Las Vegas,” said Havasu 95 Speedway corner flag man and pit steward Bob Keirns. “They are like Legends cars but made for dirt and have unlimited horsepower.”
