Excitement Mounts As Balloons Soar Over Lake Havasu City

Monday morning was a picture-perfect day for hot air balloons to soar in Lake Havasu City, and RiverScene Magazine was lucky enough to take the photos.

Six balloon pilots took off from Dick Samp Park and from a lot on Kiowa Boulevard, Monday morning.

Pilot Al Reusch took RiverScene Magazine for a ride in his balloon “Knot Crazy” over the city.

Reusch is visiting from Illinois to participate in the 2025 Havasu Balloon Festival and Fair, presented by Anderson Toyota.

Other pilots that flew included Ken Walter, Gary Moore, Kathy Reineke, Jason Gaines, Jim Dolan and Jim Gebhart.

The Havasu Balloon Festival and Fair will begin Thursday and run through Sunday.
