The United States Marine Corps celebrated its 244th birthday Sunday at the Marine Corps Ball in Lake Havasu City.
Marines and their spouses dressed in glitz and glam for the Ball, and it also was a night of remembrance for those Marines that have passed away.
Gene Burns, 90, and PFC John Alec Sullivan participated in the oldest and youngest Marine cutting of the birthday cake and Chief Petty Officer Hospital Corpsman Julie Marie Daub, Retired, was the guest speaker.
