With more than 80 entries, the 2015 edition of the London Bridge Days Parade stepped off at 10 a.m. Saturday. The weather was perfect for the parade with the theme of “Remembering Havasu’s First Businesses.” Participants of all shapes and sizes made their way down McCulloch Boulevard delighting the crowd from Acoma Boulevard to Capri Avenue.
Parade awards were given to the following entries:
Commercial Floats
First place: ASU Colleges at Lake Havasu; Second place: Lake Havasu Yacht Club; Third place: Milemarkers Therapy
Non-Commercial Floats
First place: Pet Partners of Havasu; Second place: Lake Havasu City Recreation; Third place: Lake Havasu Museum of History
Youth Floats
First place: Telesis Preparatory Academy; Second place: Mount Olive Lutheran Church; Third place: Lake Havasu Sea Scouts
Decorated Vehicles
Sweepstakes winner: Leitz-Fraze Funeral Home; First place: St Vincent de Paul Society; Second place: Jasmine Place Assisted Living; Third place: Pooch Party in the Park
Color Guard & Drill Team
First place: Marine Corps League Color Guard & Auxiliary; Second place: Lake Havasu City Young Marines; Third place: Desert Star Ballroom
Equestrian
First place: Friends of the Fair; Second place: Hoofbeats from Heaven; Third place: Little Delbert Days Rodeo Queen
